BAS Taxidermy was founded by Blake A. Smith.
Blake is attending the University of Nebraska where he is majoring in
Fisheries and Wildlife management. Back in 2001 Blake took up the
art of taxidermy. He started off performing a couple of deer
mounts for friends and before he knew it people were calling him to do
their trophies. He performs seasonal work for
the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission and works part-time at Scheel's
All Sports. All his life, Blake has had a passion for the outdoors
whether it be hunting or fishing. He has taken many forms of
wildlife from white-tailed deer, waterfowl, to Merriam turkeys. A
few years ago Blake began the art of bow hunting because the loved the
challenge. In the last couple of years, he has been very successful with
his bow.
Last year he was fortunate enough to take an antelope in western
Nebraska where he does most of his hunting. |
